ALL ABOO'D THE HALLOWEEN EXPRESS.... DESTINATION AMERICA

October has only just begun and yet one channel is determined to bring a plethora of paranormal programmes to you, now we all love the paranormal don't we? YESSSSSS and every now and then we catch the odd show on a channel, maybe once a week, once a fortnight but imagine if there was a channel that had hours and hours and hours of paranormal pleasure for you to watch, well imagine no more, now there is AND they've only gone and renamed the month of October too, but don't panic they've not called it something silly like Bert or Cabbage, they've renamed is Ghostober, do you see what they've done there? BUT DON'T PANIC non-paranormal lovers, come midnight on the night of Ghostober the 31st, just like Cinderella's slippers, Ghostober turns into a weird looking pumpkin and then in a flash, it gives birth to November.....

Celebrity Haunted Hotel promises to be DEAD good..

If you think eating the anus of a Kangaroo is a tough call for a celebrity then spare a thought for the unfortunate ones checking into the "Celebrity Haunted Hotel", a new paranormal TV show, aired LIVE on W for 5 nights from Thursday the 27th of October culminating in a finale on (of course) Halloween Night.

There is something pleasantly satisfying in seeing celebrities genuinely spooked, well we at Haunted Magazine think so.

Just in case you don't know who is who, Christine is in the
middle and Jamie is the one with the "i'm not scared of ghosts"
beard, Matt is the one with the "i'm not scared of ghosts" arms
folded pose. WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO KID??
W, UKTV's premium entertainment channel has just announced an ambitious live show fronted by Christine Lampard (Dancing On Ice, The One Show), Matt Richardson (Xtra Factor, Virgin Radio) and Jamie East (Thronecast, Big Brother's Bit on The Side), Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live. Celebrity guests will check in each night to what's been dubbed Britain's spookiest hotel starting on Thursday 27 October at 9pm and culminating with a finale on Halloween.

Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live is a brand new entertainment show stripped over five nights combining hilarious celebrity sleepovers, terrifying tasks, gripping ghost stories and edge-of-seat paranormal investigations, all set within a village famous for its ghostly goings-on.

Christine Lampard with co-hosts Matt Richardson and Jamie East, check in a new batch of celebrities nightly. Guests brave enough to stay in the ghost-ridden lodgings will be under the control of viewers. Celebrities will be voted to take part in nail-biting and riotous live investigations, experiments and group events while exploring each episode's gruesome ghost story theme. Jamie will be updating live from the interactive hub (note: Jamie does love his interactive hubs, doesn't he?), within the hotel grounds.

DID YOU ORDER
ROOM SERVICE?
"Five nights in the UK's spookiest hotel with some great celebrity guests over Halloween - what could possibly go wrong?!" - Christine Lampard
Matt Richardson will also host companion show Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live: Do Not Disturb, at 6pm nightly from Friday 28th October, giving viewers a chance to catch-up on the previous night's eerie occurrences and challenges and set the scene for the evening show.

WHO WILL LOOK BETTER IN
BLUE, MATT OR JAMIE?
"What better way to spend Halloween than in a Haunted Hotel, I'm looking forward to checking in our guests and seeing how they cope with a stay in Britain's spookiest hotel. With Christine as Jack Nicholson and Jamie and I as the twins, it'll be like an English shining" - Matt Richardson

TURN THIS UPSIDE DOWN AND IT BECOMES "M".
HOW SPOOKY IS THAT?
"A  completely new, exciting format is an extremely rare thing in TV. I can't wait to work with Christine - she's one of the biggest and best names in presenting and I'm a huge fan. I see Matt Richardson every day at Virgin Radio, so the novelty has worn off there I must admit" - Jamie East

UKTV executive producer, Helen Nightingale said, "This is a spooky addition to W's growing slate of original content - an entertainment event set in the darkest of places; perfect for Halloween. With a whole host of celebrities to frighten, W viewers will be gripped by the unfolding nightly action"
Steve North, W's general manager, added, "We are excited to be broadening the shows on W even further with a live, nightly entertainment event for Halloween.   Set in Britain's spookiest village, Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live combines interactive challenges with a ghostly setting. I can't wait to see how brave our celebrities really are"
North One executive producer John Quinn added "It's a beautiful location, but does take on a very different feel by night. Combining that setting with a strong cast of familiar celebrity faces, as well as some young, fresh talent, who'll undertake some never-seen-before paranormal investigation using cutting edge technology, this appeals both to long-time fans of the genre and those viewers who just love entertaining reality TV"
Haunted Magazine can't wait for this, we've always said that the paranormal is entertainment, should be entertainment and needs to be entertainment. The celebrities, who ever they may be, are in for the night of their lives. If they pack their Holy Water, their cloves of Garlic and a spare pair of underwear, they should be OK?

BLINK AND YOU WILL MISS THIS BLOG POST!!

With the Sixth Season of The Walking Dead leaving us on a massive cliff-hanger, the question we’re all asking ourselves is “who did Negan off?” Unfortunately Haunted Magazine can’t answer that but we may be able to answer a few others like “why aren’t Walkers allowed to blink?” and “how do they all happen to have the same walk?” Well, to celebrate the home entertainment release of The Walking Dead: The Complete Sixth Season which will be hitting shelves on Blu-ray™ and DVD from 26th September we now have all the answers. Here are 10 things you probably didn’t know about The Walking Dead...

Issue 16 - Women in Paranormal!

Please be patient whilst the magazine loads.

Women, women, women, you can't live with them but you can get them to write the features for Haunted Magazine Issue 16, and like a female version of Postman Pat, they have delivered.

This issue we are celebrating girly ghosthunters, spooky sisters and the women of the Paranormal world, from Lorraine Warren writing our editorial to the new Ghostbusters to the The Living and the Dead, this i
ssue is crammed with more females than you'd find in the lift to the Chippendale's VIP
Party.

We expected emotion, passion, humour and spookiness and we got emotion, passion, humour and spookiness AND so much more.

There may be no proof that ghosts exist but we can say without a shadow of a doubt that Men are from Mars and Women are from Haunted Magazine.

And remember. #dontbenormal - BE PARANORMAL!

"WE ARE GOING TO NEED A BIGGER BLOG!!"

DOLPH IN SHARK LAKE!!
(no it's not a spelling mistake ... read on)

Since Steven Spielberg’s Jaws took a chunk out of the box-office in 1975, shark films have become a genre in their own right. It’s because of the way they’re shown on screen that sharks have a reputation for being carnivorous killing machines, but in reality they generally only bite humans by accident. Whether you love them because they’re easy-to watch-popcorn thriller fodder or because you prefer entertainment over quality, shark films are here to stay.

Is Derren Brown's Ghost Train on the right track?

The Ghost Train is a seaside classic ride, immortalised by any one born in the 1970s as one of the classics, on par with the Waltzer, the Big Wheel and the Speedway (remember that one?). You sit down, you're secured in and you enter a dark foreboding place, driven around on a track, dangly bits of pretend cobwebs hit you in the face, groans, moans, faces that light up, demonic laughts AND I am sure at some point the staff go in and touch you, the bleeders. Then you come out of the dark and into the light saying "again, again, again", your Dad, his face now a sickening pale of white from fear barters with you "how about some Candy Floss?" and reluctantly you give in.

Forget Skeletons In the Closet, it's all about Cats Up Your Chimney Now!!

From guard cats to shoes up chimneys: how to protect your home from fairies and witches

Discovered within the wall of a house in Hertfordshire
A cat bricked up in a wall. An old shoe perched up a chimney breast. A figurine hidden in the rafters. A braid of human hair hanging in the attic. These are just some examples The Concealed Revealed Project is currently trying to catalogue and map these odd hidden items, and the numbers are reaching the thousands of the many weird, wonderful and in some instance downright disturbing objects that people have found concealed within their homes during renovations.

THE FEMALE OF THE PARANORMAL SPECIES

GHOSTBUSTERS NEEDED!!

Apparently, the South East is home to most haunted places in UK!

Celebrate the new Ghostbusters film with this ghastly guide to the most haunted hot spots in Britain. As the blockbuster returns with its all-female cast, the spookiest UK destinations have been ranked on a ‘spook scale’, indicating scare factor levels based on previous encounters with the spirits.

The study, compiled by money-saving website Voucherbox.co.uk, looked in particular at female ghosts, and the stories behind their hauntings, to reveal that the South East has the most traumatised souls in the country.
Budding Ghostbusters can seek out these female spirits, ticking off this extensive list at their own risk.
